   At Gramma Fannie's Quilt Barn you will find hand quilted quilts and wallhangings all locally made.  Some of our quilts are appliqued to add variety.  You can see traditional, Amish, and modern patterns in our quilts.  We also carry a very nice selection of beautiful tablerunners and centerpeices, but no matter what you purchase you can be guarenteed the best quality available.

8th Annual Amish Country Quilt Show Entry form

March 26-29, 2008Show held at Berlin Christian Fellowship & Vendors Mall at Troyer’s Country Dining

Rules to enter quilts

1. ACQS reserves the right to refuse any entry.
2. If you wish to sell your quilt during the show, 2O% of the selling price will go to ACQS.
3. You may enter more than 1 item per category, however, if space becomes limited you may be asked to enter only one per category.
4. An entry form must be completed for each item entered, along with a $5.OO entry fee. (Please make copies as needed). No quilt will be displayed without entry fee paid in advance.
5. Entry fees will not be refunded.
6. Please check with your insurance agent to make sure your quilt is covered under your home owner’s policy while it is on display.
7. To win a cash prize you must have pieced, quilted or designed the entry.  All quilts qualify for ribbons.
8. No quilt that was shown at a previous ACQS may be entered.
9. If your signature is on the quilt you must cover it before submitting it. If it is not covered it will not be judged (this will be removed after judging).
10. All large quilts 36” and larger must have a full 4" sleeve along the top for hangings. Tabs will not be accepted.  There is a problem with quilts with smaller sleeves. P
lease be sure they are the correct size and sewn down along the top & bottom – No pins. Quilts without proper sleeves
will not be permitted.
11. All entry forms must be received by January 31st, 2OO8.
12. All quilts must be delivered to Gramma Fannie's Quilt Barn from February 11 – February 16, 2O08.   Any quilts not in by February 16 will not be judged and must be entered in the "Just for Fun" category.
13.  Each entry should be brought in a separate bag.  No boxes or hangers for quilts or wall hangings, clothing may be on a hanger.  If we need to use our bags to separate your entries you will be charged.
14. Quilts may be picked up Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday March 31. April 1 & 2. ID is required for pick-up; if you are sending someone else to pick up your quilt they must have a letter indicating this. The letter must be signed by you.
15.  Entries should not be made from kits, we want your ideas.
16. Just for fun quilts - These quilts will not be judged, nor can they win cash prizes (except viewer’s choice).
17.  You may choose one category to enter each item in; your item will be judged in that category.

1. Traditional Pieced
2. Appliqué
3. Mixed Technique - a combination of 2 or more of the following: piecing, appliqué or embroidery.
4. Miniature - no larger than 18" on any side, must be pieced using miniature size blocks.
5. Original Design-this entry must be a pattern you have created, it cannot be a pre-existing pattern.
6. Baby Quilt     
7. Whole-Cloth Quilting                
8. Paper Piecing
9. Clothing/Accessories Can be pieced, appliquéd, embroidered, or any combination, may be embellished by any technique.
10. Just for fun- This category will not be judged

1st & 2nd place ribbons will be awarded in each category. All categories are divided into large quilts & wall hangings and awards given in each.   No ribbons will be given if none of the entries have met the judge’s qualifications. Ribbons as well as cash prizes will be given to Best of Show, Judges Recognition & Viewers Choice.  A $100.00 award will be given for large quilts and $50.00 for wall hangings.

To guarantee your placement send in your form as early as possible. One free pass will be given to each person that enters a quilt for the quilt show.
